The Yin Yang symbol is one of the most fundamental concepts in Traditional Chinese Medicine, as it is the foundation of diagnosis and treatment.
This salt lamp, which sits in one of my treatment rooms and illuminates the Yin Yang symbol, serves as a reminder of both my very first days as an acupuncture student and how never to stray from the underlying principles of the medicine when helping a patient become balanced and therefore, well.
Example of Yin Yang in nature: Night and Day
Yin and Yang are opposites but…
One cannot exist without the other; nothing is totally Yin or totally Yang; Yin contains a seed of Yang and vice versa
Levels of Yin and Yang are forever changing, but should be a harmonious change; too much of one will eventually overpower the other
One can change into the other, but only when the time is right
In keeping with Yin Yang theory…..
THANK YOU to my wonderful patients; for without them, I would not be carrying out my dream job!
